Does anyone else not like the graininess of this picture on this card or am I just too skeptical nowadays?

I dont like it. I saw this on ebay and wanted it to be real, but am positive it is not real. I have owned one of these once (beat up) and have seen maybe 4-5 others in person and maybe 10-15 more in auction catalogs and books etc. I have never seen one that is not a clear photo.

Remember, these guys printed these up to promote their business. In the 19th century, your business and trade cards were as important as your website or something today and they took great pride in these, especially a large company like the Page Fence Co. Early trade cards like this were VERY well done as far the printing goes.

This is my long way of saying I did not like the looks of it at all and would be shocked if it came back from a grading company as authentic.

That is what I thought too. Ironically there is one in auction right now, in the Heritage Auction (It's not my consignment) and it looks much sharper.
