That's an awesome photo collection. Some of the Horner ones I have never seen before. Thanks for posting the link.

You pin isn't super rare, but is a $40-$75 piece.

Randall,

Thanks to Mike H, I also have one of these pins (thanks Mike!). I wish I could say for sure that it was made specifically for Michael McGreevy, but in all honesty, it's probably just a generic pin. That doesn't mean it couldn't have seen time with a Royal Rooter, but unlike some of the other Rooter pins, it's simply not specific enough to pinpoint it down to one of my favorite historical figures.

That being said, I would wager the pin to be worth around $25-$50. I think I paid about that a couple of years ago.

Hope that helps.

Greg

I've seen a Sweet Caporal pin with that same "Nuf Ced" saying on it. I think it was sort of a catch phrase of the times much like "Oh You ____" was.

I agree, Dan. I've also seen in a Sox collection one of those "Third Base" position player pins attributed to McGreevy's Third Base, which, of course, it had nothing to do with.

The nuf ced is still a neat pin, and it does sit next to my other pins on the shelf, whether it had anything to do with McGreevy.

Best...
