Lou Lamms said, 'the better team always finds a way to win four games in a series' ... but as convincing as Colorado was against a NJ team that played three + games with their respective heads & hearts elsewhere, the Devils still came very close to sneaking away with the chalice.
Having said that, I think two changes are in order:
1) New Jersey needs to reclaim or perhaps rediscover their physically dominating, frustrating and at times, intimidating style of play. The Devils could take great strides to this end by getting larger and younger on the back line.
2) The Devils really need a leader who will take charge both on and off the ice ... Along these lines, I don't feel as though Arnott is this (prospective) leader nor the heir apparent to Steven's "C".
PS As was mentioned in an earlier post, I also believe that everyone will see a much hungrier Beast In The East next season.
