I came ashore at the Taku bar, up the Hiho river to Tientsin. Stayed several days the up country to Linse (coal mines). Then back to tientsin for most of the winter of 46. Lived in what was called the Russian sector. Their was a large School on the east side of the Hiho river. My unit was L CO 3rd Bn 7th Marines. Our assignment was to guard trains going north to marine units.
