I recently acquired a medal similar to the famous Soochow Creek medal of the 4th Marines in Shanghai. The front reads "Hang Chow / House
Boat Expedition**" and shows some Chinese junks and the front of a another boat with a uniformed man on it. The reverse has no image and has
a text reading "For Service in Interior China" followed by two stars. There is space below the text on the reverse for engraving a name, but mine is
blank. The one I have has no ribbon.

Do any of you know the background to this item? I imagine is is another kind of satirical medal like the Soochow Creek one, but I've not run
across any references to it.

Thanks. -- Kent McKeever

Did you ever find out any information on the medal. My father-in-law who served in pre-war China has one.
