In Valparaiso, Indiana lives an old Marine who was in the Marine Corps from 1930-38. He served a tour in China and has several scrape books and pictures still in great shape. And he had also met Smedley D Butler just before Smedley retired.

If anyone is researching information on that period of Marine history, contact the Dunes Leatherneck Marine League Detachment of NorthWest Indiana. Tell them your asking about Martin "Leon" Matthews. Leon is 90 years old and is as sharp as a bayonet!
