I'm doing some biographical research on a deceased Marine (KIA Vietnam) who was assigned to the 109th Replacement Draft in August 1946, sailed to Taku, China aboard the USS General AE Anderson in October and was assigned to Company F, 2nd Battalion, 5th Marines, 1st MarDiv at Peiping in November. His primary duty was ammo carrier.
I would appreciate hearing about the role of the 5th Marines in China in the fall of 1946. If you're interested, the Marine's name is Donald Constande.
Thanks,
Steve Judycki
