As you describe the action the TGM equivalent would be a pure hitting stroke. Crosslateral is a hip bump to along the target line but across the line, which would be right if you are right handed. The seal of the wrists and the steady body correspond to the flying wedges and the tripod concept. Chuck Evans in conjuction with Medicus has a site called the Medicus golf institute in which he demonstrates by streaming video the hitting and swinging strokes from putting to woods.
