Response to Position One - direction of shaft & Circles

Dan

Thanks for your second reply. I understand that yes one can practice without a club. As for myself I can check and verify position much easier with a club using video. There is where I can see some of the 3d aspects of the swing.

Your posted video with a real club hitting a ball and the demonstation of the sealed wrists was another visual reference that helped a lot. I am a visual learner and believe that with the proper video instruction it is a easier way to learn than to use too many words that can be misunderstood.

Metrics to point are ok but it can get boring if overdone and accomplish nothing. This is just my opinion and may not be true for a majority of people. Finding the balance can be tricky between working without a club and ball and dealing with hitting real balls with a club. For many people they can not make their real swing the same as their practice swing. One can say if they really focused on their metrics that can't happen others can say that part of the mystery of golf is how the ball and course score etc affect the swing is significant and the sooner you work with the real thing the faster you learn.
