No, I don't think that Jake and Tom see each other again after that. The scene isn't as explict or fret with homoeroticism as Women in Love.<sigh> There is this one moment after Jake tells him what happened to the fiance where he's still got a hold on Tom and he buries his face in his hair. I thought that was sweet.
I'm still trying to get the meeting down right for the story. Have gotten the one that feels right yet. Going to be some meeting years later or something. It's still pondering around in my brain. The guys are having some difficulty getting past the awkward stage of how do I be friends with someone when we have this history. I'm trying to talk them through it. They're men, they are just refusing to communicate much. Gonna have to whack them in the head or something.
