>>the age gap was too big I guess.
>Don't you read Mulder/Skinner or Skinner/Krycek? I doubt the age gap between Skinner/Krycek or Skinner/Mulder is any more noticeable than the Phantom Menace.
There is a 30 year age difference between the
characters in "Phantom Menace". Qui-Gon is
55 and Obi-Wan is 25. This fanon thing where everyone
assumes that Mulder is many years older than
Krycek really bugs me. As far as I know Krycek's
age is never mentioned in the series. I've been
told that the large age difference myth got started
because a the script of the show where they
first meet describes Krycek as "appears to be
about 25". Well, if you look at Mulder in that
episode he "appears to be" about 27. They are
both in that mid-twenties to mid-thirties age
range where it's hard to tell. If you look at
the way Krycek ages during the rest of the
series it's obvious that he is no more than
two or three years younger than Mulder. If I
read another fic where Mulder is described as
"the older man" every second sentence I'm going
to start whacking my head against the monitor.
OK, rant over. I feel much better now.
