Ok, one that is a straight X-files, just a case, not part of the mytharc for M/K to work on. I live in Texas and in near by Fouke, Arkansas there is this legend of the Fouke Monster. Like a big foot kind of thing or some shit. Like thirty years ago there was this big thing about it. Media from all over the place got in on, I mention it because we had a some pieces in the paper this weekend remebering it. It's weird and like no one believes in it. Still it one of our little Urban Legends around here. We don't have many, but we did have a serial killer once.
Any one ever seen the movies 'The Town that Dreaded Sundown' or 'The Legend of Boggy Creek'? If you've seen TTtDS you know where I live now. Both were sortof goofy and based on things that happened around here. Boggy Creek was pretty big when it was released. I'd like to see Mulder on a hunt for the Fouke Monster. He'd get like no help from the locals trust me. Most of us are pretty skeptical and think it is a bunch of crap.
That would be interesting for a Monster of the Week story. When I read that in the paper (having a nice chuckle about it) I instantly thought of the X-files and that Mulder would love it. Scully would have rolled her eyes at it and probably beat her head on the wall when Mulder suggested going (seeing as how until season 8 she didn't have a desk, even then she just took his). Hell, even Alex would do an eye roll, but go along because it sounded like fun and Mulder was so excited about it. Not being a spoil sport.
