I have always preferred things to be subtle, hinted at, rather than outlined clearly. I prefer to work with implications. This may sound strange, but I wouldn't
want Mulder and Krycek in a relationship, because then they would belong to each other and not me. I would feel more obliged to follow canon than I am now- currently I feel no loyalty to CC whatsoever, which means I can do whatever the hell I feel like. Plus, most of the stories I am interested in (which is kinda completely negated by the series I've just finished...) are first time stories. How they got together. We have endless scope for these, because they *aren't*, at least according to CC. If they
were together, that would be it, and I'd miss out on some classic fics.
This is just me, though. I don't expect people to agree. I've always been a weird one.
