Wayne, The epson printers start acting funny when if you were on a pc, you would get a service message. There is a fix, but you need to connect it to a pc and download the utility to reset you printer. The c88 is supported (http://www.ssclg.com/epsons.shtml) The utility is free and it resets the counter that your waste pads are getting full. After you do that then look around in the forum and they show you how to bypass those pads. (It is too difficult to change them). You just take off the piece in the back and reach down and pull out the tube and put it thru a lid into a jar. Sounds crazy, but I did it to a r200 & r220 about 2 years ago and they are still going strong on generic ink. Good Luck!
