Gallagher is now a parody of himself, belongs as a cartoon character in the Viz.

Nah mate, Liam is his same self.

Tune is on par with any of the Beady Eye stuff.

Roses on the other hand....

He sounds like he's expanded his musical influences from the Beatles to Ian Brown solo - I think it'll be s winner with the Oasis, Kasabian crowd so fair play for that.

I don't think wall of glass sounds at all like any of IB's solo material if thats what you were implying. During two listens of it yesterday, I for some reason was reminded of the Brand new heavies! Subtly tho.
I found it as enjoyable as the best stuff from BE, which admittedly I didn't overly rate. Wall of Glass is ok, not great, not bad, just fine.

Its more of a Liam song that A41 is a roses song as referred to above. So with that logic, his comeback is already 'better' than the roses from a relative standards point of view.

Guardians review is funny

June 2 2017, 11:55 PM

Liam Gallagher
Wall of Glass
I mean, honestly, what would we all do if Liam Gallagher came out with his first solo single and brought with it a complete change in musical direction? Birds would fall out of the sky. Dogs would forget how to bark. And so here’s Wall of Glass: a video, predictably, of Liam Gallagher in a series of jackets shouting into mirrors as if he’s practicing at home about how best to start on bouncers; the sound, inevitably, of Tim Lovejoy pumping himself up for five-a-side. If you still say “our kid” a lot and have to explain to your barber to leave those long bits over your ears but trim the rest, this one’s for you.

Very beatlesy as you come to expect from both Liam and Noel but a far cry from definitely maybe when they actually sounded unique and original unlike the wannabe beatles tripe they released afterwards.

At least he played Manchester...

June 5 2017, 1:00 PM

he flew from a festival commitment in Germany to Manchester to close the show - where the fuck were the Roses? That One Love gig was organised by Universal Records execs, guess that means they arent signed anymore. Or theyre just fucking lazy sell outs. Its a sad day when it turns out that LG has more heart than the Roses ffs

In my opinion all this silence is becoming very boring now.
I mean, if they aren't going to give the fans new music then at least talk and do some bloody interviews!!
