{Chapter 8}
“Say what now,” Jason chuckled. “Randy…kill Kane…are you fucking insane, woman?”
“You didn’t see the look in his eyes,” Angela said softly. “He was serious. He’ll follow through with the threat.”
“Angela,” Undertaker said standing and scrubbing a hand down his face. “I’m sure he seems scary when he’s throwin’ out threats, but…”
Angela shook her head. “You weren’t there. You didn’t see his eyes,” she whimpered.
“Angie, this is crazy,” Kane said. “Now come on, I’m taking you to Orton’s room and we’re getting your stuff.”
He took her hand and led her to the door once again. This time she didn’t resist. He led her down the hall and into the elevator, wrapping an arm protectively around her. She leaned into him hoping that they could pull this off.
She led Kane down the hall and pulled out the keycard to the room. Before she could slip it into the lock the door opened revealing Randy. He took one look at Angela and then Kane and his eyes turned ice cold.
“Angie, get in the room,” he said flatly, his cold eyes never leaving Kane.
“Randy, please,” she said.
“I said GET IN THE ROOM,” Randy growled turning his glare to her. Angela scurried past him, not wanting to anger him anymore than she already had.
“Nice marriage you got there,” Kane said, his eyes just as cold as Randy’s. “You bark an order and she obeys. Nice trick. How long did it take for you to train her?”
“Not long,” Randy replied smirking. “I see you with my wife again you’ll be sorry, Kane.” With that he slammed the door behind him.
He turned his glare on Angela. “You were warned,” he growled, his hands clenching and unclenching at his sides as he inched closer to her.
“I went to see Victoria,” she said, backing up as he got closer. “I didn’t know Kane would be there.”
“What I do from now on is on your head, Angela,” he said.
She backed up to the bed, falling down onto the foot of it. “Randy, please. I didn’t know he was there. I swear.” His hand flew up, intent on hitting her. She shut her eyes tightly. “Randy, don’t! You’ll hurt the baby!”
At these words he restrained himself, dropping to his knees in front of her. “I’m sorry, Angie,” he said softly, placing a hand on her stomach. “We both have to be more careful now.” He brought his face down to her stomach and placed a kiss on it, holding her tightly in his arms.
Angela breathed a sigh of relief. She realized that as long as she carried his child she would be safe from the beatings he was so quick to dole out. As much as she hated the thought of giving birth to Randy’s child she realized that Victoria was right. The child was innocent in all of this. No matter how much she hated Randy she wouldn’t take it out on the child. Not ever.
“Randy,” she said running her fingers through his close cropped hair.
“Hmm,” he replied looking up at her.
“Now that I’m pregnant…you can’t hit me,” she said softly. “It could hurt the baby.”
“We can’t have that,” he said.
“I was telling the truth when I said I didn’t know Kane was there when I went to see Victoria,” she said slowly. “Please, don’t hurt Kane. I promise I'll stay away from him outside of work. I promise. Please, Randy."
Randy didn’t like it, but he sighed and nodded. “Fine,” he replied. “I won’t do anything to Kane…this time. Don’t make me have to hurt him, Angie.”
“I won’t,” she replied. “I promise.”

“Where’s Angie,” Victoria asked when Kane made it back to the suite.
“Orton was there when we got to the room,” Kane replied.
“You tried, Kane,” Undertaker said clapping him on the back.
“I didn’t try hard enough,” Kane growled. “I should have…I should have made her leave with me.”
“Then you’d be no better than Randy bossing her around,” Edge said.
“We’ll figure a way to get her out of this,” Victoria said. “We just have to.”

The very next week was the last week leading into the No Way Out pay-per-view. Angela was pacing Randy’s locker room nervously. Though she would not be in a match that night she still would be involved in Kane and Randy’s match that night.
In her present state she had told Randy it wouldn’t be safe for her at ringside, but he refused to give an inch on this. Her part tonight would be the most important part of his feud with Kane and he wanted everything to be perfect.
“Would you relax,” Randy said stopping her form pacing. “You’ll wear a hole in the floor. You’ll be in and out of the ring before you know it. Nothing bad is going to happen.”
She nodded, forcing a smile. She looked down at her outfit and sighed. She wore a baggy Kane shirt tied in a knot with some black leggings and red stiletto heeled knee boots. Her honey blonde locks were pulled up into a mass of curls.
“Come on,” he said taking her hand. “We have to tape a segment with Kane.”

Angela made her way to the catering table and got herself a cup of coffee. She was looking for something to stir it with when someone handed her a plastic spoon. Looking up she saw Randy Orton smiling at her.
“You shouldn’t be anywhere near me,” Angela said accepting the spoon.
“Oh? And why is that,” he asked.
“Because Kane will kill you,” she replied with a smirk.
“I think I can handle Kane,” he replied. “It was good seeing you Angie.” He winked at her and headed off.
Moments later Kane approached Angela. “What the hell was Orton doing near you,” he demanded.
“Just talking,” Angela replied with a shrug. Kane growled. “Would you stop being so jealous. Maybe he just wants to be friends, Kane.”
“Randy Orton doesn’t have friends, Angela, especially not of the female persuasion,” Kane grumbled. “Now I want…”
“I am coming to the ring with you,” Angela said dumping her coffee in the trash. Her eyes narrowed up at him and dared him to argue. “End of story.” With that she stalked off.

“You were great, baby,” Randy said smiling. “Come on. The match is soon.”
Kane watched the two of them head off to prepare for the match. He shook his head and made it a point to speak to Angela about this. With a sigh he headed toward the Gorilla position.
Randy had already headed to the ring when Kane caught up with Angela. “Angie,” he said getting her attention. “This is crazy. You could get hurt. Does Orton realize that?”
“I’ve tried to reason with him,” she said frowning. “He says tonight is an important part of the storyline.”
“I don’t like this,” Kane grumbled.
“That makes two of us,” she replied taking a deep breath. She had a sick feeling in the pit of her stomach and it wasn’t from morning sickness.

For the most part Angela tried to stay out of the way when either Kane or Randy got throw out of the ring. She was just waiting for her cue to get involved and praying that nothing bad would happen. Kane was dominating the match until the referee got knocked out.
Angela jumped up on the ring apron and slid into the ring. Kane spotted her and yelled for her to get out. He then turned his back on her as he went back to finish Randy off. Angela dropped to her knees and low blowed him before sliding out of the ring.
By this time the ref was waking up and Randy RKOed Kane to get the pin. Angela slid back into the ring going right to Randy. With a wicked smile curling her lips she jumped into his arms and planted a kiss on his lips.
When he set her back on her feet she tore the Kane shirt off to reveal a tight cropped Legend Killer shirt. Randy twirled her for everyone to see, smiling approvingly. The fans went nuts booing and jeering the two.
As the two were celebrating Kane sat up. He was seething as he got to his feet. Randy helped Angela out of the ring and together the two scurried up the ramp with Kane hot on their heels.

“You see,” Randy said smiling as he and Angela headed to his locker room. “I told you nothing bad would happen.”
“You were right,” Angela replied with a sigh.
“Of course I was,” Randy said. “Come on. Let’s get you back to the hotel. You need your rest.” |
