I am a Marine.
I did not serve in Korea. I served in the 1990s.
But I am also a graduate history student at the University of North Texas majoring in military history.
I am writing my Master's Thesis on U.S. Marine combat in Korea in 1951.
I am looking for Marines or Navy Corpsmen who served there to interview or who know someone who was there I can contact.
I am particularly interested in the drive to the Punchbowl, the Chinese Fifth Phase Offensive, Operations Killer, Ripper, Rugged, and Dauntless.
Please contact me if you are interested in helping. This era of Marine history has for too long remained nearly forgotten. Those battles of 1951 were in many cases every bit as much Marine as Iwo Jima and Bellau Wood. It is time they gain recognition.

My e-mail is: winfield813@yahoo.com

Thank you and
Semper Fi!!!
