I know that when I started SG's shared risk program last year about this time, if you were in the 1:3 program and chose vitrified eggs, the cycle would cost you $25K but that if it didn't work you would be put into the regular 1:3 program after that cycle. You would have to pay $4K to move into the regular 1:3 6-try program BUT the vitrified egg cycle would not count against your 6 tries. So I guess technically that cycle would have been $25K but then for $4K more you would get up to 6 fresh DE cycles. And note that if you wanted you could leave the shared risk program at any time and get all your money back. I think SG did this as they were just starting egg vitrification. We considered it but they did not have any frozen eggs that worked for us. I don't know how they are doing it now but they indicated to us we would have gotten 4-6+ eggs in a frozen egg cycle.
I do think that SG will eventually switch to mostly frozen eggs since I do think they have had good results with it . . but I have not see the actual numbers. |
