I read your post and thought what a dedicated, loving Mom. As for using Medicaid, when DH was married to his first wife and he was still in college she got pg and they used Medicaid (they were in their very early 20s). Please don't be ashamed of that. So sorry your DH's job doesn't provide insurance now. On my job I often talk to people who are in financial trouble and I regularly come across someone who needs money to cover medical bills b/c they don't have insurance.

Does your state provide health insurance for children so at least DS gets coverage? I live in a very rural state and I know we have a program for kids and it includes dental coverage (someone we know uses this for their children). And BTW, I LOVE your response to the grandmother comment. Your DS is a lucky kid to have so much love in his life. Hope your medical problems improve.
