I never had a lining problem with OE either, but my clinic insisted on Delestrogen. Turned out that my insurance doesn't cover it, and it was over $100 for the vial vs a few dollars max for the estrace. So that is one possible advantage of estrace, depending on your insurance situation.
In the end I didn't mind taking the delestrogen, it was only twice a week and the shot is a teeny tiny amount, not like the huge volume required for a PIO shot. It didn't hurt or leave any hard lumps like PIO can. But if your RE is ok with estrace and you don't have lining issues I'd be inclined to go with it.
