Not at all! Not only am I in your boat, but I could be captain.

Response to Am I one of the only ones...(sorry long bitter rant & questions)

I haven't been active on this board having "graduated" to the "Green" Still TTC board and feel more comfortable there (not that this is bad place, this is a wonderfully supportive forum but it just doesn't suit my needs as much as it once might have).

Anyway, I am not going to provide my full details here, but I had my first OE IVF back in spring/summer 2006 when I was 35 about to turn 36. I'm now 40 about to turn 41 without yet having acheived my family. I've had many DE cycles with one unproven donor and then using vitrified eggs from my clinic's rock-star super-donor-every-recipient-got-preggers-on-the-first-or-second-transfer-and-are-now-parents-except-for-me. Maxed out three insurance policies (my hubby changed jobs and his company changed carriers once giving us some fresh starts)and my savings are all but gone.(Phew, I did pretty much give you the whole story, in brief!)

As for the continued set backs posted on the pink board, the way I look at it this journey isn't over until the baby is born. There are all sorts of complications that can come wether or not someone used IF treatments. My own sister had a naturally-conceived still birth at full term (2 days past her due date) with no prior complications. The umbilical cord had suddenly ruptured earlier that day. In my experience many women post to the pink in their early pregnancy excitement and then move on, not needing the support of the community. One woman who was a cycle buddy of mine back from 2009 had success, posted once or twice on the pink in her first trimester and then seems to have drifted away.

I don't have any words of wisdom other than to tell you that if your heart is telling you to strive forward and keep trying, then how can you not answer that call?

Best to you. Hugs.
