I became allergic to anything with adhesive on it while I was pregnant. It was a nightmare. I had a cesarian (I likely spelled that wrong-- how do you spell check here?) and had tape all over me, which caused a rash all over my body that I could NOT get rid of. My dr.kept saying it would go away on its own, but after about a month he finally gave me a prescription ointment and pills and it went away in a week or so. Anyway, I remain allergic, but have found that some places on my skin are more sensitive than others. My inner thighs and face are the most sensitive. However, I have a band-aid on my thumb now (rubbed a blister digging in my garden) which has been there for 2 days with no problems. I've put band-aids on my fingers before without a reaction. So, if you itch in one spot, try a different part of your body. Unfortunately, the least sensiive places are places that the patch would show: knees, elbows, fingers.
