My dr recommended 2, which is what we were leaning towards anyway, in the hopes that at least one will stick! Those bfns are so hard... So, here we go,again! beta is 29th. Both were excellent quality, lining is great, and dr said it was the easiest transfer ever-- drank just the right amount of water so the sono image was great, and embies went in super easy. Last time, I drank too much water and was miserable during the transfer. Much better this time! Dr said he would like to give us a 100% chance of pregnancy, but he couldn't do that, but he thinks our chances are as good as they get. He said the chance of twins is sbout 50%.
I did talk to a friend of mine with twins for about an hour the night before last, and she said she was also overweight when she became pregnant, and was the same age as me (42-- almost 43),and she actually had trouble putting on enough weight during her pregnancy, though she said she ate all the time. She did develop high blood pressure at the end and was bedridden for a couple of months, but she said she felt fine. They induced labor at 37 weeks for her because of her blood pressure, and her kids were 7 lb. something and 5 lb. something. Huge for twins at 37 weeks! Anyway, my blood pressure is always low, as it was during my pregnancy, so I wouldn't expect that to be a problem. I'm more concerned the issues I had before will be twice as bad: awful back pain, nausea and heartburn, carpel tunnel syndrome, migraine headaches (I now have a safe medication for that, which actually works. Yea!), difficulty sleeping and difficulty breathing at night. Anyway, we'll see. I'm trying to think positive!
I did a bunch of gardening yesterday, so I wouldn't have to do it during the 2ww, so I am sore today from digging in our solid clay soil. I amend it every spring, but it always seems just as rock solid when I get ready to put in my vegetables the next year. At least I'll have lots of healthy, organic tomatoes, tomotillos, okra, corn, and maybe melons (if I have better luck this year than last) in the summer.
