Response to Dee, they also need to send the fetus to pathology
I'm almost positive it was a blood clotting problem now.
I have serious doubts that it was chromosomal abnormality. Our donor was 24. I do blame myself, though, because they told me to take baby aspirin and I did not.I only took it for the first 2-3 weeks of the pregnancy. I guess I didn't realize how important it was. I have to take responsibility for that now.
The first sonogram revealed that the embryo was slightly behind in growth, but it later caught up.
14 weeks is considered 2nd trimester. In the 2nd trimester, there is only a 5% chance of M/C. So I doubt it was a chromosomal problem. I did have severe diarrhea during the first trimester, that I believed was some kind of food poisoning. So that is the second possibility.
We only have 4 frozen left, and I don't have much hope. I wonder if they will survive being thawed out. They were not PGD'd and that bothers me as well.
