Update on screening costs, RE, and agency

My RE's office was very kind about the surprise screening fees, and reduced them somewhat. They had done all bloodwork, consult, US, etc. and approved the first donor we sent for review, but the agency (Miracles) never came through with any of the verification we had requested. So we had to find another donor with another agency after waiting so many months and receiving nothing.

Our new donor already had a lot of her bloodwork done from her last cycle, so I think the fees will be less, and in the end, it may all work out fine.

My RE's office and my new agency (Peas in a Pod) have been incredibly understanding and supportive about all this.
