Today I had a repeat HSG in prep for SG. Last one was 2 1/2 years ago and both tubes were blocked. On the original HSG they tried a couple of times to get the tubes to open with extra dye but they would not budge. Went directly to IVF and did not pass go. Tried one cycle with OE without success (fsh was 15). After grieving OE loss moved on to DE and I'm really okay with that. Now today with HSG they start injecting dye and the right tube was wide open dye went right through the tube to the ovary without issue. They tried to get the left tube to budge with a little more dye and repositioning me on my left side but it wouldn't give way. But now I'm back to thinking....should I try IUI with my OE (we stopped IVF after one try b/c of costs and low likelihood of pregnancy). URGH...hate this rollercoaster. I know the chances are very slim but that little spark of hope is back. I might email my home RE and ask. The reality is I know the chance with DE are so much better and I would get to my goal of being a mom so much sooner (not to mention the much lower m/c risk) but know I have this little piece of info putting a little kink in my plan. I know one thing for sure, on the months I'm not medicated, I will be OPKing, temping, and BDing. Can't try this month b/c on bcp's for visit to SG on 11/29. Do you wise ladies have any words of wisdom to share??? Thanks!
