The crinone gel is super irritating and causes major spotting. Brown blood is old blood. It could be implantation bleeding. I bled bright red (like a faucet had been turned on) at 6 wks and 7 wks with my first pregnancy. Lots of spotting with my current pregnancy. It's very common (but unfortunate for our mental state!) hang in there and let us know how you get on.
