At one point I asked how they knew that 1 cc was enough and how did they know my progesterone was at a good level, because it was only checked 1 time (I can't remember when that was exactly, but I think it was before my transfer).
I didn't use crinone or anything. I just followed the SG protocol, but I did have questions and concerns and I brought those up to my nurse. I agree with the poster who said there are different protocols at different clinics.
Since you are new to SG and this is your 1st cycle with them, I might follow their protocol and see what happens. I almost feel like it's good to go through a cycle with a clinic and pray for a 1st time success. If that doesn't happen then protocol needs to be reviewed and there should be discussion on why the doctor feels the cycle fails. That way you're in a better position to cycle again.
That said, I had one failed cycle there and then one that resulted in my current pregnancy. I had a different donor the 2nd time and the quality of the embryos were much better, which I think made a lot of difference. Still, I've heard of perfect blasts not resulting in babies, so there are so many factors at play, who knows what really works.
