BUT, you never know what is going to happen in the future and this contract is the most important document you will sign, short of your wills...
It angers me that physicians will even let any donor sign informed consent without having had the benefit of legal counsel.
And for the record, I have never heard of a clinic that did not require that insurance rider for the donor for all donor cycles. The reason for this is that if something does go wrong and the donor ends up in the hospital with medical bills, her medical insurance is usually going to decline any coverage.
I also get angry that the clinics do not better guide their patients about the importance of legal counsel...
Where did you cycle? To be perfectly honest, it really sounds as if they were fairly negligent about some big issues.
