Response to Question on SCH
A couple of things... first of all, doctors seem to be almost equally divided on whether they recommend bed rest or not. Most, if not all, definitely recommend "pelvic rest", but statistically speaking, bed rest doesn't really seem to make much of a difference. This is also true regarding whether they tell you to stop aspirin or other blood thinners (if you're taking them) or not. Just depends on the doc... Frustrating, but true.
Second, as for actual bleeding, I've NEVER bled even though my SCH was enormous, measuring almost 3cm x 4cm. I never even had any spotting, so seeing the bleed on the screen was very surprising to me. So, just because you're not bleeding does not mean the internal bleed has actually stopped.
Knowing what I know now, I would've continued to take it very, very easy for at least another week after the bleed resolves. Most people go on to be perfectly fine, but when mine had 95% resolved 3 weeks ago, I stopped bed rest and went back to pelvic rest. 10 days later it was back with a vengeance... Who knows if that's the real reason why, but I'd still be a little cautious.
Just my 2 cents.
