I had the same thing last month - From the time of the initial bleed my IVF doctor said 2 weeks of "light bed rest" - He cleared me for going to work a few afternoons a week, but he said to pretty much be a "couch potato" - I had a follow up ultrasound 1 week after the bleed and it was still visible & about the same size, so the SCH can still be there without active bleeding.
On my next ultrasound (2 weeks after bleed) it was almost resolved and I was just having very light spotting and the doctor still has me on light bed rest (3-4 weeks now). I am going for one last ultrasound tomorrow... The nurse practitioner said that as long as I wasn't having active bleeding I could be a little more active, but IVF doctor said I can't even walk 2.0mph on my treadmill - he's really being over cautious though, as I have been walking here and there because I have other health issues which would be a serious problem if I laid in bed all day for weeks. Anyway, my regular OB said I could resume a fairly normal activity level since it had been 2 weeks from active bleeding - those were his guidelines, with the disclaimer that he didn't want to contradict my IVF doctor.
At least 2 weeks of light bed rest seems to be the timeline both of my doctors agree on for taking it easy after a SCH - and if you have any active bleeding hop back in bed for 24 hours. Of course, I would definitely encourage you to call your doctor and get clearance before resuming normal activity - we're all different and there's a lot of factors at play, so nothing beats your own doctor's advice.
