| Hi Antonialisa?
You are so sweet! I'm very excited for you too!!I From what I understand, Dr. Shapiro is a great doctor and he is also the head of the clinic. You're in very good hands. I know what you mean about the costs. The $30,000 for the five cycle guarantee is an amazing deal. If I had the money I would've most certainly bought into that deal. However, it was all I could do to come up with the $16,500 right now I'm trying to be realistic and need to have money left over just in case God forbid, my donor egg cycle does not work out. We will need to have money saved in order to pay for an adoption which as you may know could cost us anywhere from $20-$30,0000.
That being said, it does seem like most of the women at RBA do get pregnant the first time. Most, not all. In addition, those that do not find success on the first cycle usually do on their FET. I'm praying that I not only have two high-quality embryos to transfer the first go-round, but also a frosty or two for a FET if necessary. So, I see your husband's point on one hand. However, I do know that if I could financially swing it, I would've gotten the $30,000 deal just for peace of mind. Still in all, I feel pretty comfortable with doing the single cycle.
I'm so glad that you have decided to look into other options. It doesn't mean that you don't still try, goodness knows we still try every month with my own eggs, however it's nice to have this option. I am very excited! I honestly just want this infertility nightmare to be over. I'm just ready for my family. I pray that all of us get out take-home babies very soon. Please stay in touch and let me know how things are going for you. If you have any questions about RBA please ask. |
