don't check in your luggage

Medically necessary items are exempt from liquid rules and exempt from airline carry on allowances - just have your prescription or doctor's note with you just in case. Don't check in your luggage - if it gets lost you likely won't be able to replace quickly enough (not to mention the cost!)
