Congrats on making it this far with DE - it's a lot of ups and downs! I just wanted to share something that my doctor said that helped me wrap my head around things - with DE, I am the biological mother - I am giving birth. The egg donor is exactly that - a donor who is genetically related to my child, but she isn't a "mother" in any sense of the word - she's a wonderful and amazing donor, but not a mother.
DE has great odds of working - finally, the odds are in our favor! I'm 13 weeks along with my first fresh cycle and it's still nerve wracking, but I'm cautiously optimistic. From the second I saw the picture of our embryo I felt like it was ours and not our donor's - it's really amazing that we have science that enables us to do this. Also, our donor was unproven, but like you, we were compelled to pick her - she was just such a great match. Good luck on your upcoming cycle.
