Wow, you guys almost make me cry, I'm so touched by your support and interest.
We have one little bean, so that was a relief to us. For a whole host of reasons in our situation, we're not up for twins. We saw a heartbeat, which was very moving. It was 100 bpm. Doc said they look for 120, but he was very pleased, said it was still a little early (we were 6w1d), so all was good. I hope that's true. I can't help imagining that he was hiding a slight concern, but I think that comes from my paranoia and is not objectively warranted. (feel free to weigh in if you agree...
) My DH did not read anything negative in anything the doc said. Another u/s this Friday.
Thanks again for your support! I'm feeling a little disconnected from the whole situation and finding it surreal. It helps knowing you guys are out there.
