You have to ask the hospital in advance if they are "allowed" to use their lab to do your results based on your insurance. For example once I switched to BCBS, the hospital cut me off, since BCBS has a lab contract with Labcorp. I LOVED going to the local hospital and was very disappointed when they could no longer process bloods.

I DID pay cash once at the local hospital not going through insurance (I did not have time to go to Labcorp and just wanted the test done) and it was very very expensive compared to what a fertility clinic would charge, so beware.

Since I can't use the local hospital anymore per insurance rules, and I don't like Labcorp, I just go to the local fertility clinic now even though that means an hour drive. They take my insurance and do STAT reliably.
