They really don't cost much and have some unpleasant side effects, not sure there is any advantage in taking them before getting a cycle lined up. You do not want to be stuck taking BCPs for months waiting for cycle coordination, when they don't ask you to take them until near the end anyway, and only for +/- one month. If you tend to have ovarian cysts you can take BCPs in the months leading up to a cycle to try to avoid a cyst, but otherwise I wouldn't start them. It won't save you any money. |
