      We used an agency donor because we did not want to go the anonymous route. We had the same experience as those using clinic donors. The best ones were grabbed immediately. Several times when I called agencies to inquire about donors, I was informed that they were taken and that there was a "wait" list. As mentioned above, that doesn't guarantee that the donor will be available or even want to donate again. Finally, when I saw our donor's profile on the internet after the agency was closed on a Friday, I waited until they reopened on Monday morning and reserved her right away. I even sent them a deposit by overnight mail.
