I tried 3 or 4 "mini-IVF" cycles at ORM and all were converted to IUI from lack of response. Technically, my clinic was willing to go through with a retrieval, but with blood work showing maybe just 1-2 eggs, I wasn't willing to go through the expense of a retrieval with such a low rate of success. Each cycle involved minimal stimulation with oral medication instead of the traditional injectable meds. On my last mini-IVF/converted to IUI cycle I had a chemical pregnancy - that just proved to me that even if I finally did get a fertilized egg, my eggs weren't any good. I moved on DE and am currently pregnant after my first cycle... 34 years old, diminished ovarian reserve. |
