We're going with CNY and a split cycle with meds will cost about $8000 - $9000 and the price includes pretty much everything, including FETs within a year of egg retrieval.
Primary and secondary have the same costs at CNY for a split, but if the donor does not produce enough eggs for a split at least 12 than the secondary is dropped and the primary pays a few thousand more to get all the eggs, the secondary gets there money back or can put it towards a new cycle.. All of this is in the contract so everyone knows what can happen and how it will work out.
Primary normally is the one with more seniority...

...either on the list longer or reserved the donor first. From my one experience with a shared cycle at Cooper (and an agency donor), I was the primary. The contract we signed stipulated how many eggs (wish I had said MATURE eggs) had to be seen at the last u/s to qualify for the split. All charges split down the middle. Should there not have been enough eggs to share, I would have been responsible for the full donor fee but the secondary would still have been out the money for her own testing, drugs, prep and legal.
Unfortunately we didn't have any to freeze though, so I do regret doing a shared cycle b/c of that reason and the other recipient didn't get pg at all due to her uterine issues. But our miracle is inside watching Cinderella right now!We are now looking into another donor after trying with the same donor, unsuccessfully last year.
