My Late Nov.- Early Dec. Schedule

Just wanted to update:

* Finished Prep Cycle, Pap results 11/1/09
* Donor is age 24, FSH is 6.5 (allegedly "lovely"), she's twice proven. Past cycle reports 150-225 nightly units of FSH, producing 13-14 eggs, quality described as "excellent" and both previous recipients got pg. My RE wants more eggs and plans to stim her at 300 units nightly.
* Waiting to hear back on more autoimmune testing from my MD.
* Started Lupron yesterday (10 units every day between 5-7 a.m.)
* Last BCP will be on 11/12/09
* Baseline bloods on 11/15/09 (starting Estrace, reducing Lupron to 5 units)
* Probable retrieval will be 12/8/09

I feel sick posting this info on here because this never ends well for me.
I hate generating excitment on boards then ultimately letting people down. Trying to be positive, believing this can work... but after so much disappointment we're programmed to expect the worst, aren't we?

Wishing everyone luck,
CatMama75

i know just how you feel. after awhile it seems to be like we are kidding ourselves, let alone anyone else. BUT honestly, you should get excited, BECAUSE this just might be THE cycle that is going to work. you know all those girls over on that pink board did NOT get lucky the first time either, as much as over half or more didn't.

so, Heck, get us excited, get us all worked up, get excited yourself...it's called HOPE my dear and HOPE is a GOOD THING, for you, for me, for all of us!

Good Luck!!!

I'll be the girl sitting here with a half-smile/half scared ****less look on her face... I will try to be hopeful, and thanks for giving me permission to share it all here, even if I'm truly on the edge of a cliff!

Thanks!

I totally hear you. Could have written this. It's SO hard, I really think we do end up with PTSD after so many failures. By our third fresh DE/DS cycle I was sure I was losing my mind. I definitely expected the worst, too, from that cycle - as it was all we kept getting. I sure hope this is THE cycle for you. It sounds like you have stacked the odds so much in your favor with a really proven donor and by looking into autoimmune issues too, so surely it will be your turn. Wishing you all the best. Good luck!! I wanted to post to you with the list of immune tests I got with the rheumatologist I saw, but I won't have the list until after Thanksgiving.

I'd like to think you are right; investigating every angle, stacking the deck... how can this fail? Well, sadly we see it happen. A lot.

I will keep the faith. Thanks for supporting me.

it's scary to start getting hopeful but then hope seems built in and gosh what would life be like without it??!! REALLY hoping (!) that this December cycle is THE ONE for you. Very best of luck!
