frozen "natural" cycle

Just finished 7 days of Provera Saturday and started bright red spotting and cramping yesterday and light bleeding today. Have been off Lupron for 12 days or so...the plan is to go in on CD 1 to evaluate how my "natural lining" is building up and decide if we should freeze a blast and transfer this month. I am soooo hoping that I am one of those people that just doesn't respond to synthetic estrogen and builds a better lining on my own happy.gif I just needed to take a break from all the meds for a while...I plan to do some acupuncture and am taking all my supplements. If the lining is no good I will try with estrogen the following cycle. Does Lupron screw things up for a while or have you all gotten normal cycles after stopping? Anyone else do a natural cycle?

Natural cycle

March 8 2011, 9:00 PM

The most "natural" I have done was estrogen/progesterone. no Lupron. Felt a million times better. Recently went to RE after no AF for 3 months and he said lining was 8.8 triple and he wants to do natural cycle....not estrogen but progesterone due to short cycles. I am a little leary of this. Interested in other's experience.

I did natural FETs (success ment.)

March 8 2011, 11:59 PM

Both of my successes were natural FETs that followed failed fresh cycles.

I just monitored for the lh surge via an opk. No bcps or lupron. Went in for an u/s & blood work with the surge. I did start an e2/p4 supp. after that, but that was the only medication. ET was approximately 5 days after my surge was verified.

AF went AWOL after one of my failed fresh cycles. I think I got back on track after 65 days or so, & then did the FET. I was a mess waiting, but I started checking my temp. at some point, so I caught O at around day 49 & then AF finally came. That cycle was a + on the FET.

After I failed another fresh cycle attempting #2, I did not have a repeat of delayed AF.

Good luck. I really loved the natural FETs & I feel like my body did much better on those cycles than the heavily medicated fresh cycles.

Thanks- very encouraging!

I already feel so much better off the meds and I plan to try the natural cycles as long as my lining cooperates and then just transfer one at a time until it works! Can I ask how many did you transfer for your FET's? Your lining was good without estrogen?

Answers (pg. ment.)

I actually did 3 FETs. The 1st one didn't work (immune issues at play most likely). I transferred 3 b/c they were frozen on day 3 & I had a history of ivf failure.

The 2nd time, I transferred 2 b/c that's all we had left. 1 was excellent & the other 1 was horrible in terms of quality.

The 3rd time followed another fresh cycle. Those were frozen as blasts, so we transferred only 2.

Both pgs. were singletons.

I didn't have any issues with my lining or hormones, but those weren't areas that had ever been problems for me. I was just shy of 38 the 1st time & 40 the 2nd time, & I was still having regular cycles.
