What to do about Agency....

My agency did a bit of a 180 on me. Excellent reviews on this very board. Excellent reviews from other sources.

They had a great donor. I signed on the dotted line, sent in my money, and since then (March) they have been unable to provide basic medical records on my donor.

Excuses have been many and varied

the clinic is unresponsive
the clinic mailed them
the clinic forgot to mail them (oops!)

Will fax them to your clinic
Will fed ex them to your clinic
Will fed ex them again!! (promise - smile!)

OOPS - forgot to include all the records.

start at the beginning (the chorus of our little song)
the clinic is unresponsive
has mailed them...
will fax them...

oops - still not all the records? Do you really need all of them???
Really? Most clinics don't need ALL the records.

It's been since March and still we are missing key medical records...
any advice on how to handle this?

Ask a LAWYER to contact them

Ask a LAWYER to contact them. Or ask for an explaination or a refund (in writing). If they don't comply. take them to small claims court.

write reviews of the agency

Agencys change over time.

Go to web sites where women write reviews and your share experiences.

Let people know about the hard time you're having. After all the money that we pay and the good faith effort we have no one should have to go through that.

Are you sure it's not the clinic who's screwing everyone?

Some clinics are pretty bad at sending records since it doesn't add to their bottom line. Get a time line of how many times the agency called the doctor's office to see who is dropping the ball, the clinic or the agency.
Is there any way your clinic can correspond directly with the clinic who is hoarding the records? That would seem like the fastest way. Clinics coordinate cycles together (when remote monitoring is involved) all the time.
