be careful with kale as it can kill your blender

I killed my blender with kale smoothies. But I think it could be OK if you remove the stalk. Something's very fibrous. It might be the stalk.

But you can juice kale. I have a slow juicer. It's quite amazing for getting the juice out of anything.

I am addicted to spinach juice with raw garlic. A little bit of carrot and/or pineapple. Really. Drink it every day for a week and tell me you don't crave it after a while. There's just something about it.

Basically the way to make a spinach smoothie is to put some sweetish frozen fruit in a blender(strawberries or pineapple or mangos) and about 1 C water and then pack the blender with spinach.

I recommend adding a little fat because it helps you absorb the vitamins (or so I've been told). I like to add a teeny bit of coconut milk. With pineapple, it is almost a pina colada!!!

Cherries plus almond butter plus spinach is really good. I haven't done that one lately as I'm lightening up a bit on a fat and almond butter is a horribly addicting substance for me.

Of course, I've been eating this way for years and I am very plump. But I definitely get my fair share of vitamins. When I plug what I eat into a diet website I am off the charts for all basic vitamins. So if you eat this for breakfast, salad for lunch, a veggie for dinner and fruit for desert you will cover all your nutritional basics.

I'm all about the eat a rainbow thing!
