Sounds like it went about the same as yours: brief discussion about possible immunology issued associated w/an old chlamydia infection, but more talk about the complexities of immune responses in early pg in general, and how the past infection could be playing a role, but that it might be affecting other cellular responses that we can perhaps measure with the, you guessed it, fancy schmancy full blood panel.
I'm not sure if I buy into the premise of some of the immune tests, but at this point, I am nearing the end of looking under rocks for things to treat. So now I'm waiting to see if my DH and I can do the blood draw near home (upstate NY), get the results and take it from there. At the beginning of the consult, Dr B expressed some doubt that he could help, but then got more hopeful when he learned I hadn't done any immune tx other than low dose oral corticosteroids. Right now, he is thinking about having me take lovenox and neupogen, though that could change after the blood tests are back. |
