Anyone ever NOT get a bleed after ending BCP?

This has never happened to me in all my countless prior cycles. I was on the BCP with Lupron overlap and took my last pill on Wednesday. No bleeding as of today (Monday). Had a supression check today and the clinic wants to continue with my FET protocal and lower my lupron tonight and start Estrace because my lining is thin (about 4) and my blood hormone levels are fine. Now I'm wondering if I should shed this lining before building up a new one? Or is this step unnecesary? I only have one embie on ice so I don't want to jeopordize anything just to get my cycle done 'on time'.

Thanks

The clinic went ahead with my cycle anyway and it worked.

Not necessary to shed the lining, it is thin enough. I had this happen

with all 4 of my successful cycles. Good luck.

as long as your lining is thin, you'll be fine.

I ended up starting to bleed late in the afternoon. I noticed it when I was changing to go to my yoga class and wouldn't you know it, all my supplies were in my car. I had to go all the way back there to get one. It will probably won't last more than one or two days since my lining was thin.

Thanks for calming me down.

No issues with meds for me

I'm a veteran at this however. I don't even want to count how many cycles (OE and DE) I have under my belt.

I'm only a couple of days in to Estrace. The only thing that is bothering me slightly is a couple of extra lbs. Sometimes right before transfer my uterus feels heavy from the lining growth. The real symptoms start for me with Progesterone. That can do a number on your body and since the symptoms mimic pg symptoms they can mess with your mind as well.

Hang in there. Lots of women before you have made it through and so can we! It's all just part of our process to becoming a mommy!

The reason I am asking because of my age(way over 40) and type2 diabetic...did get clearance from sugar doctor though...after getting A1c down happy.gif
I have some experience under my belt too...with o/e only though. I heard the shots are worse for de? Best of luck to you and looking forward to hearing back from you

Shots are the same for DE

Really there is zero difference between doing a typical FET with your OE and a DE cycle. In both cases, you need to suppress ovulation using whatever protocal your doctor prescribes (BCP and Lupron usually) and then build a lining (Estrace or another form of estrogen) and then use a combination of estrogen and progesterone to support the embryo that has been transfered. The only issue is one of timing, to synch yourself up with your donor, so that your lining is ready to go once her eggs have been retrieved.

If you've done OE IVF, you are prepared for DE IVF. And also, if you've been able to give yourself insulin shots regularly for diabetes, you should be good to go with adminstering shots generally.

Best of luck!
