wondering if it is possible to ship/send sperm?August 1 2011 at 1:21 AM | Bharani (no login) |
| Hello ladies;
I started thinking for my next cycle. dh and I live in different country, he was also diagnosed with low sperm count and low motility ( something like that). that was during OE. I just want to send his sperm, if it is possible, and accumulate them. I also worry since he mostly comes when we are in the process, and we are told to refrain from having sex. I worry if we do then his sperm will be lower in quality and quantity, something like that. I hope you understand what I mean. Is it possible to ship his sperm? And how to do it please.
Thanks |

Yes it is possible to ship sperm. He could go with a request from your clinic to any other fertility clinic near to where he is. Are you cycling in Canada? If you are it is absolute hell on earth to get sperm or embryos into Canada but very easy to get into America. You need all sort of permits from the Canadian Government to bring in sperm or embryos etc. Now, if you are cycling in USA he can do his bit at one clinic and then pay a courier company to transport to your clinic. It may be fairly expensive to do but I think Fedex has a Department that will do it, they do here and we can easily transport to America but as I say, Canada is too difficult (from here anyway).
Ask hubby to go to the Indian shop and buy Chyawanprash by Dabur. It does wonders for sperm.
Good luck. |

I needed to get vials from NJ to my clinic in CA. My clinic loaned me a tank. I shipped it to NJ not charged with the nitrogen so it would be cheaper. I also just sent it 2 day Fed Ex. I think it was around $90? Then when they got it, they charged it, put the vials in and shipped it back overnight and that was a bit more. I think around $180? Fed Ex does it all based on Weight. I know there are small and large cryotanks tanks. The one my clinic had was a small one, so a larger one might cost a bit more. But over all, it costs a lot less than I thought it would. Good luck!
