I bled and passed a clot at six weeks. At my seven week ultrasound my RE pointed out the pool of blood next to the embryo and said that the blood clot broke off from there. He didn't tell me to take any extra precautions. He said it would probably just go away and that I might have more bleeding but not to worry about it and call them if I started bleeding heavily. I really thought at six weeks I was having a miscarriage. So I have not had any bleeding since and am 12 weeks now. At my 10 week ultrasound I forgot to ask about it and the doctor didn't mention any blood on the ultrasond. So I don't know if it is still there or not.
I was never told to do any bed rest or resting at all. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

I bled like AF at about 5 wks, and it scared the bejeebus out of me; was sure I was miscarrying. The PA at the OB practice where I got my first scan put me on pelvic rest, but not bed rest, for most of my first trimester. Take care, Maggie (in VA)
