Could you send us positive thoughts?February 16 2012 at 5:55 PM

DH and I are preparing for a cycle, but sadly, we are also amidst a great deal of stress, with a two dear parents battling for their lives due to various terminal illnesses, and a lawsuit which is threatening our business.
All before our upcoming cycle! (No use putting it off, we have been waiting to do this cycle for a year, and things won't get any better anytime soon!
We could use your thoughts and prayers.
I'm so sorry Minniet.

You certainly have been dealt more than your fair share of stress on top of cycling. I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers. ((hugs))
I am so sorry to hear this

We also lost FIL the week before transfer, and in the early days of our IVF journey, DH was in a horrible lawsuit that he unfortunately lost (unfairly) and lost a lot of money in the process. It was such a difficult time, both times. But we made it through and you will too. I hope that this cycle will be successful for you (I have followed your story from the green board so I know how hard it has been to get this cycle lined up.) Wishing you all the best.
You've got 'em..

Lots of positive thoughts and prayers coming your way.. If at all possible, try to find a few minutes of peace and calm each day.

Its so sad that your parents are sick but I fully understand you MUST move on with your plans as you have waited so long. I always believe that children are born to replace our loved ones who pass on. Good luck with your upcoming cycle (((()))))
aw minniet - you've got it (DS ment)

all my positive thoughts headed your way... i'm so sorry you are dealing with all this. i guess the only advice is to compartmentalize. we had a death in our family the year of our wedding. and another one soon after our DS was born. the circle of life, as they say... but that doesn't make it any easier. i'm glad you aren't putting anything off. all my best to you and dh xo
minniet, positive vibes

I am so sorry you are going through all off this! My DH and I have been in the throws of lawsuits while ttc-ing so I can imagine the stress this is putting on you. BUt to have your parents ill at the same time is just amazingly hard. But I think you are wise not to put off your cycle. Just think of the joy it could bring you during a dark time.
Also this articlehttp://www.nytimes.com/2011/03/01/health/research/01baby.html?_r=2
reported that stress does not effect outcomes of IVF cycles.
Many virtual hugs coming your way.

thinking of you

I am sorry to hear that. I will keep your family members and you in my thoughts. I am glad that your cycle is almost here. Have you done any immune treatment? I filled the registration online and still waiting their answer back. I wonder do the treatments happen before cycling or while cycling?
Wish you all the the best.

I will be doing intralipids a certain number of days before transfer, and I am on metanx, a prescription folic acid, but the steroids and other stuff will be at a specific time in the cycle. I am not slated to start lupron until first week of March.
|February 17 2012, 11:24 PM |
if you don't mind what are the "the steroids and other stuff". I think I told you I had 3 ivig just before my cycles. I hoped the treatment to be longer like 3-2 month before the cycle.
|February 18 2012, 11:48 AM |
I am not doing ivig, my RE follows a newer protocol which has us do intralipids (much cheaper) a certain number of days before transfer, and a certain number of days after confirmed pregnancy.
So, no, there is not a lot of prep months in advance. My RE used to be associated with SIRM, and has gotten everyone I know pregnant from their DE cycle, so I trust the clinic and his protocols.
I will also be on steroids, viagra, prescription folic acid, heparin and whatever else they prescribe. Not sure of the protocol...still waiting for my donor to get her darn period!
Wishing you strength and peace

I wish you strength to deal with your parents' illnesses and to be there for them in every way that you are able. I also know with a lawsuit pending, finances are a concern...but I find in life there is no perfect time to do most things. We just step out in faith and follow those things in life that bring you peace.
I wish you peace to be able to breathe and take time to prepare your body and mind for your cycle.
I pray for you, your dh and the absolute best with this cycle. Can't wait to hear your story of success!
