sorry sameboat...but I've been here for ages...took some time off and had to change my name when someone started posting with my name. I didn't realize I had posted anonymously until I started looking for reasons why my post wasn't still up.
okay..ladies I do not work for any clinic
... although I have supported many a clinic financially....and I am sure there are a number of clinic docs driving amazing cars b/c of the fees I have spent on IVF cycles that didn't work. I've probably put their kids thru school at this point
I joke that I should be granted an honorary fellowship in reproductive endocrinology after going thru so many cycles..but so far no one has offered me one.
shout out to a clinic I really like....reproductive sciences center in la jolla, ca...dr samuel wood. It's a very small clinic...they don't do alot of cycles...SART data looks bad if you look at it online b/c they do few cycles....but they are very personalized...very caring...very concerned..and they managed to defrost and grow embryos that had been frozen for a long time...from someone considered quite old in this game. and we had success.
they let me do a mixed gamete transfer.....one of my old crusty egg embryos along with donor egg embryos. they didn't even check my FSH...they didn't balk at my age at conception of those embryos. They just wanted to help. Their embryologist Dr Adams really knows what she is doing.
Although they did alot better with frozen embryos than with fresh embryos....they did really well thawing and growing my frozens...and then really careful monitoring. I really enjoyed working with everyone there.
